Terms of Service
Last updated July 29, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Laddr when you use the app. They're written to be read, not skimmed past — the whole thing takes about three minutes.
What Laddr is
Laddr is a competitive study app: ranked practice battles, review with spaced repetition, AI-generated study sets from your own notes, and AI tutoring. It's a study tool, not a guarantee — practice predictions are estimates, and no score outcome is promised.
Your account
Keep your login to yourself and give us accurate information. You must be at least 13 to create an account. You're responsible for what happens under your account; tell us if you think it's been compromised.
Fair play
The ladder only means something if it's honest. Don't cheat in rated matches, tamper with requests, scrape or bulk-export the question bank, automate access, probe other users' data, or abuse the AI features (including attempts to route around usage allowances). We may reset ratings, restrict features, or suspend accounts that break this — the ladder's integrity comes first.
Your content
Notes and files you upload stay yours. You give Laddr permission to process them to provide the service — generating questions, grading answers, showing them to classmates when you share a set or add it to a class. Don't upload content you don't have the right to use, and don't upload other people's personal information.
Subscriptions
Laddr Premium is a monthly subscription billed through Stripe. It renews automatically until you cancel, which you can do anytime from the pricing page — you keep premium until the end of the period you paid for. "Unlimited" features carry automated fair-use ceilings set far above human study pace; they exist to stop scripted abuse, not studying. Prices can change with notice before your next renewal.
Classes and communities
If you join a class or community, its teacher or owner can see your activity inside that group. If you run one, you're responsible for having the right to work with the students in it.
The honest disclaimers
Laddr is provided as-is. We work hard to keep it correct and available, but we can't promise zero bugs, zero downtime, or that an AI-generated question or explanation is never wrong — check anything that matters. To the extent the law allows, Laddr's total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Ending things
You can delete your account anytime (Profile → Delete account), which removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA.
